Welcome to a NEW kind of Seminary. We have recently restructured our organization so that we can provide our students with the type of educational experience needed to obtain their ordination and be of service in today's world.
There is a growing need for ordained Interfaith, Non Denominational and Independent Clergy who are trained to be of service to an ever shrinking and interdependent world. This new ministerial career requires that individuals possess a knowledge of both the similarities and differences found in the world cultures and religions. As such, The Ministerial Seminary of America is dedicated to planting the seeds of tolerance and love by supporting students who are seeking to be of service through gaining ordination in this new type of ministry. Through online seminary education, students can obtain their ordination and certification in specific areas of study and begin their ministerial service.
Upon completion of their chosen study program, students are invited to participate in in-person ordination celebrations that are held twice a year (Spring and Fall) in Maryland. While not mandatory, graduates are encouraged to experience their ordination in person and celebrate through sacred ceremony the dedication of their lives to service through ordination.
PLEASE NOTE: We do not support fundamentalist belief systems that promote hatred, prejudice or intolerance in any manner.
Message from Reverend Barbara:
You really have only one prayer to pray every day and it is a simple one.
Dear God, *
How can I be of service, today, to you and to your children?
How can I spread Your love that is so freely given to all?
Guide me today as I dedicate myself to you.
Show me the way to let go of hatred, fear, jealousy and revenge.
Connect me to Your holy will, that is pure love.
Lead me by Your Spirit, so that all may heal.
Amen, and again I say, Amen.
*I understand that there are many names to be used in attempts to describe the ultimate source. The use of the word "God" in this prayer is not intended to discount the names of the many faces of God as expressed in all the great religions. Please feel free to substitute your own "name" throughout this website in order to adapt prayers and concepts to your personal belief.
Creed
We believe in oneness with God as we are all children of God. As children of God, it is only a matter of time before we realize our true spiritual essence as our inheritance.
A Spiritual Organization, Independent Minister or Ministry cannot be defined or limited by a particular church, religion or congregation.
In answering our calling from God, we answer to God, not man. While great truths are found in all the great religions, God’s truths continue to grow in ways that often do not fit the dogma or structure of a particular spiritual organization and cannot, therefore be limited or defined by such organizations.
A Spiritual Organization, Independent Minister or Ministry can be a part of and share the beliefs of a particular church or religion.
Independent callings can often follow closely and can be aligned with and a part of a particular church or religion.
A Spiritual Organization, Independent Minister or Ministry is a calling from God who blesses us with guidance and grace.
We believe in discernment and guidance from God as we answer our calling through the opening of an independent church, ministry or missionary. This guidance is given through divine grace and revelation, providing a clear path to fulfill God's plan and work.
We are all One and dwell deeply inside the One Spirit, and the One Spirit dwells deeply inside each One of us.
We are all children of God. There is no separation by color, race or creed. We are all of divine making and all dwell deeply within the One Spirit.
There are truths in all the great World Religions.
We believe that the teaching of Love is fundamental to all of the world’s great religions. As such, we strive to focus on the commonalities of love that thread through each religion rather than focusing on the differences and prejudices that can manifest through hateful interpretation of texts. We define the unity found throughout as the true expression of Universal Love
